Governor heads to Surprise
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Gov. Janet Napolitano will celebrate Older Americans Month with Surprise seniors on May 27.
Napolitano will pay a visit to the Surprise Senior Center and speak to its members about the important role seniors play in the community. She will also discuss what new resources are available to help older residents in the areas of health care, employment and volunteer opportunities.
"Our seniors are a vibrant and important part of Arizona and deserve our support as they live active, independent lives well into old age," the governor wrote on her Web site.
The governor also will take questions from the seniors at the 10:45 a.m. gathering.
