Surprise Kiwans congratulate several Dysart district schools
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Members of the Kiwanis Club of Surprise celebrated the successes of Dysart students.
The group recognized the achievements of students from Valley Vista High School, Thompson Ranch Elementary School, El Mirage Elementary School at an ice cream social April 22. High school students were honored for participation in Key Club, elementary students for participation in Builders Club. These clubs are the largest international service programs for high school and middle school-aged students. These student-led and Kiwanis-sponsored clubs teach leadership through serving others.
The Kiwanis recognized students from Luke, Dysart and El Mirage elementary schools for being named Terrific Kids, also on April 22. Terrific Kids is a Kiwanis student recognition program promoting character development, self-esteem and perseverance. Students work with their teacher to establish and achieve goals relating to behavior, peer relationships, attendance or schoolwork.
