SCW Fire showcases Station 101

Sun City West fire officials will have an open house event Friday to showcase renovations on Fire Station 101.

The open house will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Station 101, which is at 19001 Camino del Sol.

Tours of the renovated fire station will be conducted, and an apparatus display will be set up. Refreshments will be served.

The $1.2 million renovation project on the district's first station took about six months and wrapped up in February. The project was the first major update for the 26-year-old station and includes better accommodations for female firefighters, officials said.
