Shots fired in El Mirage

Shots were fired Thursday night in an El Mirage neighborhood, but no one was injured, police said this morning.

Around 9:30 p.m., police received phone calls that shots had been fired in the area of Pablo and Columbine. Residents saw a white Ford Mercury four-door passenger car leave the area after the gunshots.

No suspect information could be provided. Gunshell casings were found on the road near tagging on a block with the letters "SMA" painted in blue.

Police said it's unknown if it's related to the incident.
