Avondale announces weeklong road closure

Beginning Nov. 17, there will be no access to Lower Buckeye Road from Central Avenue in Avondale.

City officials said the closure is necessary for installation of a new storm drain pipe as part of the Elm Lane Drainage Mitigation project.

Litchfield Road, Fourth Street and MC85 (Main Street) may be used as alternate routes.  The Lower Buckeye and Central intersection will reopen on Nov. 24.
