Recreation Centers of Sun City loads buses for upcoming tours

Recreation Centers of Sun City has seats available on the following bus tours:

• Algodones, Mexico, Feb. 7: Shop for bargains in Algodones, a town next to Yuma. Cost is $42 per person.

• Rocky Point, Mexico, Feb. 10-12: Rocky Point is on the Sea of Cortez, 66 miles from the U.S. border. Many Americans visit Rocky Point to enjoy the beaches, sunsets and fresh ocean breeze. Cost is $355 per person for double occupancy, $462 per person for single and $320 per person for triple.

• The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, Feb. 26-27: A combination of music, comedy, glamorous costumes and dance, the show features some of the most stunning showgirls in the business, ranging in age from 53 to 86. Cost is $289 per person for double occupancy, $369 per person for single.

• Wine Country and Reagan Library, March 15-19: Journey through California, including Santa Barbara, "The American Riviera," Solvang and Riverside, while experiencing the Reagan Library and Air Force One Pavilion and the new Nancy Reagan exhibit, "A First Lady’s Style," featuring more than 80 pieces of clothing. Also enjoy food and wine tastings and elegant hotels. Cost is $1,099 per person for double occupancy, $1,500 per person for single.

• Laguna Beach, Calif., April 1-3: The first stop will be the Queen Mary Hotel for an early dinner and tour before checking into a hotel on the beach in Laguna Beach for two nights. The next morning, head for Carlsbad coastal farmland to tour the fields by hay wagon. In the afternoon, continue to Temecula Wine Country, where lunch has been arranged along with a tour and wine tasting. Lastly, tour the Getty Museum. Cost is $525 per person for double occupancy, $735 per person for single.

• Washington, D.C., April 16-20: Tour includes nonstop, round-trip airfare, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, The White House, guided tour, National World War II, Vietnam, Korean War, Iwo Jima Statue, Lincoln, Franklin and Jefferson memorials, National Cathedral, Georgetown Fort McHenry, evening performance at Kennedy Center of Performing Arts, Ford’s Theatre and Peterson House, the Newseum, dinner cruise on the Potomac River and five nights at the Marriott. Reservations must be booked before Feb. 2 to get airfare and hotel accommodations. Cost is $1,977 per person for double occupancy, $2,247 per person for single.

Tours are for RCSC cardholders and guests only. Cardholders purchasing tickets must accompany each trip purchased and may purchase a maximum of six tickets. Cardholders may not buy tickets for other members when cardholders do not participate in the tour. Tickets are on sale in the Clubs & Activities Office at Lakeview Recreation Center.
