Peoria police are looking for help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at U.S Bank West inside the Safeway supermarket at 6817 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria.

Police said the suspect approached the teller at 4:10 p.m. June 23, stating "this is a robbery" and to hand over all of the money. The teller complied and the suspect left the business with the cash and was last seen driving a rental-type box truck that was about 20 feet long. Police said no weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, about 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, wearing a white FUBU shirt, white hat and long blue/white plaid shorts that extended below the knee. Police said he may have had a ponytail tucked under his hat.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
