Police uncover cocaine in car

Youngtown police, responding to a call at noon Wednesday that a woman was being sexually assaulted, found cocaine in a suspect's car and concluded that no assault had occurred.

The incident occurred in Uribe Park near 116th and Olive avenues. A witness, who believed a sexual assault was taking place, called police, who found the car had been driven to the QuikTrip next to the park.

Police said the male suspect consented to the vehicle search, adding that the vehicle smelled of marijuana.

Police said the male suspect was released pending further investigation.
