It is upsetting to hear about so many law enforcement officers being injured or killed these days during public altercations. There must be some kind of countywide initiative that can be implemented to heighten safety for all. I would consider waiving some of my legal rights or marking my vehicle or person in some way so officers would know in advance that I am not a threat to their safety. Overly cautious officers can be frightening to harmless people as well. Does anyone have any ideas? I think replacing Tasers with tranquilizer guns might be a good idea, too.
