IKEA Tempe will sponsor the Speaker's Corner Booth at the third annual POWER Networking Expo. The booth will be decorated with furniture and accessories valued at $2,000. These items will then be given to a few drawing winners.

The Networking Expo, which will be at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa Convention Center in Glendale, from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 3, is free to conference attendees and the public.

IKEA Tempe incorporates environmentally and socially responsible efforts into day-to-day business efforts at its local store operations. IKEA Tempe recently won the "Leaders in Product Stewardship" award with the city of Tempe, in conjunction with the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association. IKEA Tempe also supports their partner charity Free Arts of Arizona, a nonprofit organization committed to bringing the creative arts to abused, neglected, homeless and at-risk children throughout the Valley. In August 2008, IKEA Tempe was the winner of the "Mid-Size Business Partner of the Year 2008" presented by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix for their efforts with Free Arts of Arizona.

The POWER Women's Networking Expo is preceded by a full-day conference from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce, along with its media sponsors, the Daily News-Sun (Glendale Today, Peoria Today and Surprise Today), Republic Media, Arizona Woman Magazine and bizAZ Magazine, present this dynamic conference featuring a lineup of speakers covering three educational tracks: Business Development, Balance and Health & Wellness.
