WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW: Trunzo and Vallillo opened the first Meatballz in February 2004 at 14870 N. Northsight Blvd., in Scottsdale. The Peoria location is the second in the Valley. There is a kids menu, and the restaurant serves beer and wine.

UNIQUE TIDBITS: Homemade, fresh mozzarella is made daily, as well as homemade tomato sauce.

FUTURE PLANS: The restaurant is franchised and has plans to go national.
