Health fairs provide life-saving information
Comments 0 | Recommend 0All Abrazo Health Care Hospitals will have mini health fairs simultaneously to educate the public and pass out free Life Connextion envelopes, which are portable medical records.
Life Connextion envelopes are used during medical emergencies and as a continuum of care that caregivers, emergency personnel, hospitals and physicians can utilize when caring for a patient. The records speak for patients when they are unable to speak for themselves and enable medical staff and loved ones to honor a patient’s health care wishes.
The fairs will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 at the following locations:
• Arrowhead Hospital, 18701 N. 67th Ave., Glendale.
• Maryvale Hospital, 5102 W. Campbell Ave., Phoenix.
• Paradise Valley Hospital, 3929 E. Bell Road, Phoenix.
• Phoenix Baptist Hospital, 2000 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix.
• West Valley Hospital, 13677 W. McDowell Road, Goodyear.
The small-scale event is free and will include Life Connextion envelopes, blood pressure screenings, information on Medicaid and Medicare, snacks and refreshments.
For information, call Lisa Levi, 602-674-1419.
