Bait and switch

Of course there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when we planned the attack. However, before we entered Iraq, the Iraqi government had taken the insides out of a big plane, loaded it with the weapons of mass destruction and flew them to Syria. They are now in Syria. By the time our troops approached the area where the weapons were hidden, they were gone. That’s the reason they weren’t in Iraq.
