Interfaith Community Care is having a free life planning lecture 9:30 a.m. June 30, at the new Hellen and John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza, 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise.

Staff will lead a tour of the new campus at 8:30 a.m. followed by the presentation in the Soroptimist Classroom inside Birt's Bistro and Bookstore.

The speaker will be Steve Harnden, a CFP and CPA in Sun City. His firm, Harnden & Associates, is a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Harnden's presentation, Annuities: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, will cover the types of annuities available, the pros and cons of each and other important factors to take into account before choosing an annuity.

The Life Planning Series lecture program is designed to provide information to residents so they may properly prepare themselves for situations they potentially face living in retirement.

To make a reservation, call Tina Wilson at 623-584-4999 or email twilson@interfaithcommunitycare.org. Space is limited.
