Health inspections (June 9-15)

July 2, 2008 - 10:20 AM

Each week, www.yourwestvalley.com publishes health inspections provided by the Maricopa County Environmental Services’ Division of Health Services. A critical violation is more likely than noncritical to present a significant health hazard that could cause contamination or food-borne illness.

Yourwestvalley.com receives results three weeks after inspections take place. Restaurants are given two weeks to clear up any problems, so violations may have been rectified by the time reports are published.

The department will issue an award certificate to each permit holder reflecting its score and how that establishment's score compares to others in that category.

Establishments in the top 25 percentile, with the best scores, will receive a gold seal, the middle 50 percentile will receive a silver seal and the lower percentile will receive no seal. A score of zero means no violations were found and that establishment would receive a gold seal.

One asterisk indicates the violation was corrected at time of the inspection. Two asterisks indicate the violation must be corrected prior to re-inspection.

The results of inspections reviewed June 9 through 15 and details of critical violations are listed.
