More than $5,000 in property, including a shotgun and rifle, was stolen from a business in the 11200 block of North El Mirage Road.

The crime was reported to El Mirage police about 11 a.m. Monday when the owner said he found his 14-foot box trailer parked in the fenced storage area of the business had been broken into. The lock on the trailer was cut, and $5,228.44 worth of property was stolen, police said.
