Sun City Grand's Oktoberfest will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Sun City Grand Village Center.
The festival will feature more than 150 booths showcasing arts and crafts, fair-type food items, polka music and local businesses.
Last year's event drew about 6,000 people. Activities Director Gina Worch said she expects at least that many this year.
"It's just a day full of fun and excitement," she said. "A lot of entertainment and food."
Worch said food booths, which will include Italian shaved ice treats, bratwurst, frybread, kettlecorn and pulled pork, among other snacks, will be stationed outside, while vendor and craft booths will be set up indoors.
Entertainment for the event will include a live polka band, a strolling magician and tattoo artists, she said. Raffle prizes will be handed out.
In addition to parking near the Chaparral Center and Sonoran Plaza, Oktoberfest guests may park at Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church, 15820 W. Clearview Blvd., and Grand Baptist Church, 18350 N. Goldwater Ridge Drive. Shuttles taking guests to the festival will run continually.
In addition, signage will be posted around the community to direct guests to the event. Volunteers will also help out, organizers said.
