Medical centers teach effective communication
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Communicating effectively is one of the first steps for getting ahead in life. If it seems people do not understand you, or you are not getting what you ask for, perhaps you are not communicating your needs.
Banner Del E. Webb is offering "The Art of Communication" from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Papago Room.
Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West. The course is part of the Outpatient Behavioral Health department's Brown Bag Lunch Series. Pack a lunch and come learn to communicate effectively. For residents in Sun City, the lecture will be noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 29 in Memorial Hall, Support Services Building, on the Banner Boswell campus.
"Often we blame others for our lack of communication skills," said Sandi Lloyd, manager of Banner Del E. Webb's Outpatient Behavioral Health department. "If you would like to be heard, understood and have less frustration in your life, come join us to learn techniques to become a better communicator and listener. These techniques may change your life by eliminating misunderstandings and stress."
