Interfaith Community Care has officially welcomed Betsy Bloechl as its new director of food services.

Bloechl will oversee the general operations of food services at Interfaith's Birt's Bistro and Bookstore, set to open mid-November in the Hellen and John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza.

Bloechl, a native of Wisconsin, will be moving from Libbrock, Texas. Bloechl has a background in food service and marketing for more than 30 years. She earned a B.A. in communications from Ohio State University.

Bloechl will be responsible for the operation of food services as well as Interfaith's catering service. She will oversee the kitchen and bistro staff and ensure consistent quality by promoting company standards. Bloechl starts Sept. 5 at Interfaith's El Mirage office.

"I am looking forward to being involved with such an exciting and proactive organization, especially one that is so caring about individuals who want to be independent and in control of their lives," Bloechl said.
