Donors contributed 63,000 pounds of food for Thanksgiving to the Valley View Community Food Bank, and volunteers logged in 768 hours, according to Jesse Ramirez, food bank director.

Ramirez said the food bank distributed 3,518 holiday boxes that included all the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner.

A total of 14,072 clients were served throughout the holiday, he said. The food bank’s annual Thanksgiving dinner was made possible with the help of 178 volunteers who served 110 families on the holiday and distributed 133 dinners to those who were unable to make it to the meal.
