The Engineers Club of the West Valley’s monthly luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Briarwood Country Club, at the intersection of Meeker Boulevard and 135th Avenue in Sun City West.

The speaker will be Dr. John M. Hill of the University of Arizona. Hill will present a PowerPoint presentation on the world’s largest Large Binocular Telescope Observatory on Mt. Graham in southeastern Arizona. Hill is the technical director of the Large Binocular Telescope Observatory in Tucson.

The Engineers Club is a social organization, which meets regularly for lunch with a speaker on a technical topic. Spouses are invited.

Membership is open to anyone who has worked in or had close ties to the engineering or scientific fields.

Visitors are welcome; reservations are required by calling 623-546-0942.
