Banner Boswell plans July blood drive

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Banner Boswell Medical Center will have a blood drive from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 16 in Memorial Hall on the first floor of the Support Services building, 13180 N. 103rd Drive, Sun City.

According to United Blood Services, more than 700 blood donations are needed in Arizona each day. It is especially important to donate blood during the summer months, when regular donations from winter visitors and vacationing residents decrease.

Special incentives for donating blood include:

·         Blood Buddies – Get a buddy (who has never donated with UBS) to donate, and you will receive two free movie passes.

·         Enter to win a new Saturn – Anyone donating in June or July will be entered to win a new Saturn.

·         Free cholesterol testing with each donation.

To sign up, contact the volunteer desk at 623-876-5333 or visit www.BloodHero.com and enter sponsor code "Boswell."
