Community center to host Cinco de Mayo party for seniors

Peoria's Senior Adult Program will stage a "Salute to Cinco de Mayo" celebration on Friday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St. The event will feature entertainment from the Lindo y Querido Ballet Folklorico dancers and Los Campesenos mariachi musicians, followed by lunch. For the meal, the organizers request a $2.50 donation and an RSVP 24 hours in advance. For more information, call 623-773-7436; to make a lunch reservation, call 623-979-3911.
