The American Association of Code Enforcement announced the installation of Surprise resident Lora L. Isaacs as president at the Oc. 6-8 AACE annual conference.

Isaacs has more than 30 years of public administration experience, 20 of those specializing in code enforcement and neighborhood revitalization programs. She is working with the town of Youngtown.

Previously, she served as code compliance manager for Peoria and as code enforcement manager and zoning administrator for Apache Junction.

Isaacs is certified as an AACE Zoning Enforcement Officer and as an ICC Zoning Inspector.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Code Enforcement League of Arizona and as the Training Coordinator for that organization.  Isaacs was named the national Code Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2000 by the American Association of Code Enforcement and was awarded the Mayor’s Award for the nationally recognized Neighborhood Pride Program, a revitalization program for older neighborhoods.

She has also served as a member of the Avondale Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Committee on Gang Activity for the Governor’s Office.

AACE is an organization of 1,200 members nationwide, dedicated to the advancement of the code enforcement profession through education and certification.
