Surprise has issued a Request for Proposals and an online auction site concerning the current City Hall campus facility at 12425 W. Bell Road, as the city prepares to move into a new City Hall building next summer.

Here a few details about the current City Hall:

• 58,000 square feet of net rentable area in four separate buildings.

• Located on approximately 6.5 acres of land.

• The current appraised value is $8,635,000.

• The campus is on the south-side of Bell Road, west of El Mirage Road, where as many as 70,000 to 80,000 vehicles pass by per day.

• Grant funding may be available for the assistance of rehabilitation or ADA compliance.

• Numerous incentive benefits, as the facility is within an infill district in the city's Original Town Site.

The city will vacate City Hall facility by July 1, and move into a new, four-story City Hall under construction at Surprise Civic Center.

RFP responses are due by noon (MST) Nov. 7, to the Surprise Economic Development Department, 12425 W. Bell Road, Suite D-100, Surprise, AZ, 85374.

The city is also having an online auction of the property for those interested in purchasing the site. The auction closes at 5 p.m. (MST) Nov. 20.
