WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW: The restaurant has a liquor license and serves beer, wine and some cocktails. Jenny Yang said the sweet and sour sauce they serve is unique and cannot be found anywhere else. "I cook the food California-style, so it's a totally different taste and style." The Yangs ordered furniture for the restaurant from China. Half the wall decorations are Chinese in style and half are American, Jenny Yang said.

UNIQUE TIDBITS: The Yangs, originally from China, moved to Surprise from Long Beach, Calif., where they owned a restaurant called Golden Cafe for many years. "We wanted to live some place where our kids could grow up in a good environment," Jenny Yang said of their decision to move to Surprise two years ago. "And there's not much good Chinese food around here." Jenny Yang has worked in restaurants since she was 17 years old, and Andy Yang was classically trained in the art of Chinese cuisine. "Wei," Jenny Yang said, "is Andy's name in Chinese."

FUTURE PLANS: "Just to have families come here and enjoy their meal, and make friendships that way," Jenny Yang said. "For them to sit and be comfortable is very important."
