PUSD adopts prelim budget of $210.9M
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Governing Board of the Peoria Unified School District made several financial decisions Tuesday night, including the approval of a preliminary budget.
The board approved a budget of $210.9 million, an increase of 1.3 percent over the previous year. That figure is likely to change, however, as staff warned that the state has not yet adopted a spending plan.
Until the state adopts such a plan, property tax rates could change, as well.
A public hearing will take place July 8 to give residents a chance to discuss the tax rates.
In addition to the preliminary budget, the board also voted in favor of a half-percent increase to all employee pay scales and a 12 percent performance bonus increase.
