Some familiar names were selected Tuesday as officers of the Sun City fire board.

At an operational meeting of the board, Irv Mitchell was chosen to serve again as the board's chairman, with Thomas P. Stroozas as vice chairman and treasurer. Edwin L. George will serve as the board's clerk.

Other members of the board are John Leonard and Gloria Powell.

The next regular board meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 16.
