ADDRESS: 9980 W. Happy Valley Parkway, Suite 1101, Peoria.

PHONE NUMBER: 623-566-1470.

HOURS: Kitchen is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Saturday; the bar is open until midnight weekdays, with appetizers available until 11 p.m. weekdays, and 2 a.m. on the weekends.

OWNERS: Tommasina Mamola and Franco Mangieri.

CUISINE: A fusion of American, lakeside burgers, sandwiches, salads,  and Italian specialties.

SEATS: 200-plus, including two outdoor patios.

OPEN SINCE: May 5.

SPECIALTY OF THE HOUSE: Meatloaf - made with Angus beef, with a choice of beef gravy or tomato sauce, served with vegetable of the day over mashed potatoes.

POPULAR APPETIZER: Fried calamari, served with homemade marinara sauce.

POPULAR LUNCH ENTREÉ: Philly cheesesteak sandwich; all-you-can-eat fish and chips served all day every Friday.

POPULAR DINNER ENTREÉ: Fresh salmon - sauteed in lemon butter sauce, served with veggie of day and a choice of side dish.

POPULAR DESSERT: Cookie Monster - vanilla ice cream over a large, homemade chocolate chip cookie.

AVAILABLE FOR: Dine in, take out, catering, large parties.

SPECIALS: Happy hour, with half-priced select appetizers, beer and well drink specials, is 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW: The patios are equipped with misting systems, and there are 12 flat-screen televisions. The proximity to Lake Pleasant brings many birders and boaters in to dine. Every Thursday is ladies' night, and live entertainment, including DJs, VJs and live bands, play Thursdays for after-dinner dancing.

UNIQUE TIDBITS: A glider that hangs above the bar was donated by a local gliding school, and children can get toy gliders made of wood. The floor of the restaurant is designed to look like a lake, and water skis and wake boards complete the decor.

FUTURE PLANS: The owners said they plan to grow this location and provide a venue for night life, though they cater to everyone.

SLOGANS: "Take a walk on the Lakeside;" "When the going gets tough, the tough go boating;" "If the boat is a-rockin', don't come a-knockin."
