Jobs available at Coyotes arena

Jobing.com Arena, home of the Phoenix Coyotes, will hold a job fair for 150 part-time event staff positions for the 2008-09 season from 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Glendale.

Starting hourly wages are from $7 to more than $9.50.

Jobs available include:

Conversions Crewmember: The conversions crewmember supports event conversions to accommodate sports, entertainment and concert productions and ensures that conversions are completed safely and in a timely, thorough manner. Hours vary depending on the event schedule.

Event Security and Building Security: The event security representative will work posted positions in or around the arena during all scheduled events. The building security representative will manage the loading dock, employee entrance and VIP entrance during all non-event hours, over a 24-hour shift period.

Guest Service Representative: The guest service representative is primarily responsible for providing each guest with a comfortable and enjoyable environment to view events. This is accomplished through a superior knowledge of guest services and the layout of the facility. Hours available from 4 p.m. to the end of the event.

Housekeeping Attendant: The housekeeping attendant will be responsible for the general cleaning of the arena. Hours available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parking Attendant: The parking attendant will manage the parking lots. Attendants will perform duties within the parking lots, entrance ways and interior streets accessing the arena. Hours available from 4 p.m. to the end of the event.

Suite Attendant: The suite attendant is primarily responsible for access control to the suite floors and to ensure excellent care of season ticket and suite holder guests. Hours available from 4 p.m. to the end of the event.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays. Part-time event employees create their own work schedules, with available hours varying based on scheduled events.

Jobing.com Arena is located at 9400 W. Maryland Ave., Glendale. Applicants should enter at Gate 4 on the north side of the arena.
