M&I Bank shreds personal documents
Comments 0 | Recommend 0While identity theft can target consumers anywhere, many identities are stolen through mail theft and personal documents found in garbage.
To help consumers protect themselves, M&I Bank's Peoria location will have a ShredFest from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 9035 W. Union Hills Drive, at 91st Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
During the free event, community members can bring their confidential documents to the bank branch and witness their documents being destroyed in a state-of-the-art mobile shredding vehicle that is equipped with a camera.
M&I Bank had ShredFest events last year at three Northwest Valley branches, where the community shredded more than 25,000 pounds of documents.
For information, contact the branch at 623-815-4360.
As part of its commitment to the community, M&I Bank helps residents ensure their financial security through educational programs, events like ShredFest and more.
